Youth Ministry
Youth Ministry Junior Highs (6th, 7th, and 8th grade) meet at 4:30 PM on Sunday evenings
Senior Highs (9th through 12th grade) meet at 6:00 PM on Sunday evenings.
These two groups gather every week for some very creative fun activities and some time to deepen their faith. We encourage the kids to bring their friends - the more the merrier.
Every summer our youth group (8th through 12th grade) go on a mission trip to a different part of the country to learn about other cultures, ethnic groups, and economic circumstances from our Christian perspective. While on these trips, the students have opportunities for hands-on service to people in the community. They learn that, as a group or as an individual, they can make a positive impact on the lives of others.
In past years, we have visited two different Native American reservations, twice helped with the Katrina clean-up in New Orleans, and experienced poverty, joblessness, and immigrant neighborhoods in West Virginia, New York City, and Philadelphia. This year we are looking forward to learning about and working to help with the needs of people here in our own city of Pittsburgh.
If your looking for a Christian camp opportunity, take a look at Pine Springs Camp in Jennerstown, You can find a link on our Mission Activities page. Center Church will pay half of the cost of camp for our active Sunday School children.
All 6th through 12th graders are welcome to join our youth group activities on Sunday night. We are a group of teens from several school districts including Peters Township, Canon-Mac, and Bethel Park. Friends are always welcome.
